Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of USD 62,400.00 (€ 48,300.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Adrien-Etienne Gaudez - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bust of a Turkish Princess, which sold at auction in May 2001 for USD 149,000.00 (€ 176,227.08).
