The work La Persiana 2 by Afro was sold in the Arte Moderna e Contemporanea auction at Sothebys in Milan in November 2018. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 333,000.00 33% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Afro - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Porta Portese, which sold at auction in November 2012 for USD 938,500.00 (€ 721,368.18).

Die Arbeit La Persiana 2 von Afro wurde im November 2018 in der Auktion Arte Moderna e Contemporanea bei Sothebys in Mailand versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 333.000,00 und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Afro mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Porta Portese beobachtet, die im November 2012 für USD 938.500,00 (€ 721.368,18) versteigert wurde.
