It achieved a price of CHF 15,120.00 (€ 14,605.67), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 68%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Agnes Martin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled #44 in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 17,728,800.00 (€ 15,707,273.85).

Die Arbeit On a Clear Day (plates 11, 21 & 22) von Agnes Martin kam im Dezember 2021 bei Sothebys in Zürich zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von CHF 15.120,00 (€ 14.605,67) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 68%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Agnes Martin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled #44 im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 17.728.800,00 (€ 15.707.273,85).
