Upper estimate price exceeded by 42 %.
The work Coteau vert, Montplaisant by Albert Marquet was auctioned at Christies in Paris in October last year. It achieved a price of EUR 11,340.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 42 %. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Albert Marquet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Plage De Sainte-Adresse in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 1,217,250.00 (€ 1,538,644.81).

Die Arbeit Coteau vert, Montplaisant von Albert Marquet kam im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Christies in Paris zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 11.340,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 42 %. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Albert Marquet erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Plage De Sainte-Adresse im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.217.250,00 (€ 1.538.644,81).
