It achieved a price of GBP 1,920.00 (€ 2,778.21), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 28%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexander Mann achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Gleaners in October 2002 with an auction result of GBP 71,700.00 (€ 113,416.76).

Die Arbeit Head of An Arab von Alexander Mann wurde im Juni 2006 in der Auktion 20th Century British Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.920,00 (€ 2.778,21) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 28%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alexander Mann erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Gleaners im Oktober 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 71.700,00 (€ 113.416,76).
