In February 2018 Christies in London held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art Evening Sale, which included the work Abstrakter Kopf: inneres Schauen vom Glück by Alexej von Jawlensky. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,028,750.00 (€ 1,162,114.28), 71% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexej von Jawlensky achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Schokko (Schokko Mit Tellerhut) Schokko (Schokko With Wide-Brimmed Hat) in February 2008 with an auction result of GBP 9,428,500.00 (€ 12,332,107.99).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 71 % übertroffen
Im Februar 2018 führte Christies in London die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Abstrakter Kopf: inneres Schauen vom Glück von Alexej von Jawlensky zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.028.750,00 (€ 1.162.114,28) und damit 71% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alexej von Jawlensky erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Schokko (Schokko Mit Tellerhut) Schokko (Schokko With Wide-Brimmed Hat) im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.428.500,00 (€ 12.332.107,99).
