In November 2006 Christies in Milan held the auction Post war and Contemporary Art, which included the work A Braccia Conserte by Alighiero Boetti. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 14,880.00 49% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alighiero Boetti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tutto in November last year with an auction result of USD 6,060,000.00 (€ 5,870,386.52).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 49 % übertroffen
Im November 2006 führte Christies in Mailand die Auktion Post war and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Braccia Conserte von Alighiero Boetti zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 14.880,00 und damit 49% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alighiero Boetti erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tutto im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.060.000,00 (€ 5.870.386,52).
