Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Selected Images (From Silueta Series, Iowa) by Ana Mendieta was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in April 2019. It changed hands for a price of USD 11,875.00 (€ 10,601.73) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ana Mendieta achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (From the Fetish Series) in February 2008 with an auction result of GBP 102,500.00 (€ 134,065.98).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Selected Images (From Silueta Series, Iowa) von Ana Mendieta kam im April 2019 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 11.875,00 (€ 10.601,73) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ana Mendieta erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (From the Fetish Series) im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 102.500,00 (€ 134.065,98).
