Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by André Lhote achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in March last year. In the Impressionist and Modern Art Day and Works on Paper Sale auction, the work La lecture sur la terrasse sold for GBP 6,300.00 (€ 7,469.36) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by André Lhote achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La danse au bar (Gypsy Bar) in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 2,729,000.00 (€ 1,857,979.30).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von André Lhote erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Day and Works on Paper Sale wurde die Arbeit La lecture sur la terrasse für GBP 6.300,00 (€ 7.469,36) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von André Lhote erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La danse au bar (Gypsy Bar) im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.729.000,00 (€ 1.857.979,30).
