Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Andy Warhol achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in December this year. In the Prints and Multiples auction, the work Jane Fonda sold for GBP 70,250.00 (€ 80,925.31) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andy Warhol achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shot Sage Blue Marilyn in May last year with an auction result of USD 195,040,000.00 (€ 181,753,797.41).
