Auction result misses estimated price range
In May last year a collector was able to acquire the work Des Malers Atelier - Der Rhein by Anselm Kiefer for USD 693,000.00 (€ 645,792.56). This price was achieved in the auction The Macklowe Collection at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 700,000.00 – 1,000,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Anselm Kiefer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Für Velimir Khlebnikov: Die Lehre vom Krieg: Seeschlachten in June 2016 with an auction result of GBP 2,389,000.00 (€ 2,867,579.59).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Des Malers Atelier - Der Rhein von Anselm Kiefer für USD 693.000,00 (€ 645.792,56) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Macklowe Collection bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 700.000,00 – 1.000.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Anselm Kiefer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Für Velimir Khlebnikov: Die Lehre vom Krieg: Seeschlachten im Juni 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.389.000,00 (€ 2.867.579,59).
