Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Precipitate IX - 2007 by Antony Gormley was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction at Artcurial in December this year. The price achieved of EUR 249,280.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Antony Gormley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Case for an Angel I in October 2017 with an auction result of GBP 5,296,250.00 (€ 6,038,761.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Precipitate IX - 2007 von Antony Gormley wurde im Dezember diesen Jahres in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art bei Artcurial versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 249.280,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Antony Gormley erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Case for an Angel I im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.296.250,00 (€ 6.038.761,70).
