It achieved a price of GBP 50,400.00 (€ 60,116.63), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 68%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Arthur Rackham; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Andromeda sold at auction in September last year with the realized price of GBP 88,500.00 (€ 100,721.56).
