The work Ein Dorf by Arthur Segal was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2018. The result of GBP 100,000.00 (€ 113,017.04) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 100,000.00 – 200,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Arthur Segal - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work „Selbstporträt“., which sold at auction in June 2021 for EUR 375,000.00.
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Ein Dorf von Arthur Segal kam im Juni 2018 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 100.000,00 (€ 113.017,04) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 100.000,00 – 200.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Arthur Segal mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit „Selbstporträt“. beobachtet, die im Juni 2021 für EUR 375.000,00 versteigert wurde.
