Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Grannies (LA Edition), 2006 the planned edition size was 500 of which approximately 100 unsigned prints were realised by Banksy was auctioned at Bonhams in October this year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 12,160.00 (€ 13,963.06). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Banksy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Love is in the Bin in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 18,582,000.00 (€ 22,014,651.32).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Grannies (LA Edition), 2006 the planned edition size was 500 of which approximately 100 unsigned prints were realised von Banksy kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 12.160,00 (€ 13.963,06) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Banksy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Love is in the Bin im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.582.000,00 (€ 22.014.651,32).
