Auction result well in line with expectations
In November last year Bonhams in London held the auction Prints & Multiples OnlineDavid Shrigley & Co at Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair, which included the work Happy Chopper by Banksy. The price achieved of GBP 20,400.00 (€ 23,638.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 18,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Banksy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Love is in the Bin in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 18,582,000.00 (€ 22,014,651.32).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Prints & Multiples OnlineDavid Shrigley & Co at Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair durch, in der auch die Arbeit Happy Chopper von Banksy zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 20.400,00 (€ 23.638,94) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 18.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Banksy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Love is in the Bin im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.582.000,00 (€ 22.014.651,32).
