Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Barbara Ess could be acquired at Christies in New York in April 2002 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Photographs auction, this work without title changed hands for USD 2,390.00 (€ 2,654.97) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Other works by Barbara Ess have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in April 2006 by the work Untitled, 1997-1998 at USD 3,840.00 (€ 3,041.83).
