Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Geit - Goat by Bart van der Leck was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in December 2006. It changed hands for a price of EUR 4,800.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bart van der Leck achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Compositie No. 3 in February 2013 with an auction result of GBP 313,250.00 (€ 363,857.63).

Die Arbeit Geit - Goat von Bart van der Leck kam im Dezember 2006 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 4.800,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bart van der Leck erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Compositie No. 3 im Februar 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 313.250,00 (€ 363.857,63).
