Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ben Shahn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Scabbies are Welcome in September 2006 with an auction result of USD 262,400.00 (€ 206,825.88).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 16.250,00 (€ 13.950,89) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 35%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ben Shahn erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Scabbies are Welcome im September 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 262.400,00 (€ 206.825,88).
