Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Untitled (Chicago 8), from Conspiracy: The Artist as Witness by Bridget Riley was sold in the Prints and Multiples auction at Bonhams in London in December this year. It achieved a price of GBP 11,520.00 (€ 13,270.60), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 15%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bridget Riley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Diagonal Curve) in June 2016 with an auction result of GBP 4,338,500.00 (€ 5,207,615.75).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Chicago 8), from Conspiracy: The Artist as Witness von Bridget Riley wurde im Dezember diesen Jahres in der Auktion Prints and Multiples bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 11.520,00 (€ 13.270,60) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 15%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bridget Riley erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Diagonal Curve) im Juni 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.338.500,00 (€ 5.207.615,75).
