Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Caroline Walker achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May this year. In the 21st Century Art Day Sale auction, the work Raabs I sold for HKD 567,000.00 (€ 67,961.24) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 200,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Caroline Walker achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Threshold in March this year with an auction result of GBP 927,100.00 (€ 1,054,755.33).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Caroline Walker erzielte im Mai diesen Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 21st Century Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Raabs I für HKD 567.000,00 (€ 67.961,24) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 200.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Caroline Walker erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Threshold im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 927.100,00 (€ 1.054.755,33).
