A top price for Cesar Legaspi
The work Ginintuang Mayo (Golden Spring) by Cesar Legaspi was sold in the Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Evening Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2016. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 2,000,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 2,200,000.00 (€ 254,279.30). With this result, Ginintuang Mayo (Golden Spring) is even the most expensive work of art by Cesar Legaspi that we have observed at auctions so far.
