Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2013 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Evening Glow; & Gwangan Bridge by Choi So-Young. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 237,500.00 (€ 23,552.51), 19% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Choi So-Young have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Snow Covered Landscape in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 1,960,000.00 (€ 226,539.74).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2013 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Evening Glow; & Gwangan Bridge von Choi So-Young zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 237.500,00 (€ 23.552,51) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Choi So-Young auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Snow Covered Landscape im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.960.000,00 (€ 226.539,74).
