Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Brite Green Store Front, Project by Christo was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in June last year. The price achieved of EUR 239,400.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Admittedly, works by Christo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Umbrellas (Joint project for Japan and USA) in February 2021 with an auction result of EUR 1,706,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Brite Green Store Front, Project von Christo kam im Juni letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Paris zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 239.400,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Christo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Umbrellas (Joint project for Japan and USA) im Februar 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.706.500,00.
