Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Christopher Winter could be acquired at Bonhams in New York in October last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Children's Cancer & Blood Foundation Charity Auction auction, the work Janet and John (Tedious Domesticity) changed hands for USD 127.50 (€ 128.35) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Christopher Winter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les Enfants d'Avignon in March 2011 with an auction result of USD 27,500.00 (€ 19,389.41).
