Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2006 a collector was able to acquire the work Hole in Your Fuckin Head (W31) by Christopher Wool for USD 1,696,000.00 (€ 1,278,938.24). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Part I at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,200,000.00 – 2,201,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Christopher Wool achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Riot) in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 29,930,000.00 (€ 27,223,940.33).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2006 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Hole in Your Fuckin Head (W31) von Christopher Wool für USD 1.696.000,00 (€ 1.278.938,24) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Part I bei Phillips in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.200.000,00 – 2.201.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Christopher Wool erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Riot) im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 29.930.000,00 (€ 27.223.940,33).
