Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Composition No. 461 (Painted In 1972) by Chu Teh-Chun was auctioned at China Guardian in Hong Kong in April this year. The price achieved of HKD 1,200,000.00 (€ 1,225,434.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 900,000.00 – 1,500,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chu Teh-Chun achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Harmonie Hivernale in April 2021 with an auction result of HKD 229,568,000.00 (€ 24,578,851.54).
