Auction result well in line with expectations
In July this year Phillips in 17 - held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art: Online Auction, which included the work Two works: (i) Untitled (Doctor) and (ii) Untitled (Nurse) by Cindy Sherman. It changed hands for a price of USD 6,985.00 (€ 6,338.48) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cindy Sherman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled #93 in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 3,861,000.00 (€ 2,830,645.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli diesen Jahres führte Phillips in 17 - die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art: Online Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Two works: (i) Untitled (Doctor) and (ii) Untitled (Nurse) von Cindy Sherman zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 6.985,00 (€ 6.338,48) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cindy Sherman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled #93 im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.861.000,00 (€ 2.830.645,16).
