The work Untitled (Lucille Ball), 1975 by Cindy Sherman was sold in the Photographies auction at Christies in Hong Kong in June this year. It achieved a price of EUR 12,600.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 40 %. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cindy Sherman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled #93 in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 3,861,000.00 (€ 2,830,645.16).

Die Arbeit Untitled (Lucille Ball), 1975 von Cindy Sherman wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Photographies bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 12.600,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 40 %. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cindy Sherman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled #93 im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.861.000,00 (€ 2.830.645,16).
