Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2012 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Art Impressionniste et Moderne, which included the work Étretat, Aiguille Et Porte D'Aval, Soleil Couchant by Claude Monet. The price achieved of EUR 300,750.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Claude Monet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Meules in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 110,747,000.00 (€ 99,333,572.52).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2012 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Art Impressionniste et Moderne durch, in der auch die Arbeit Étretat, Aiguille Et Porte D'Aval, Soleil Couchant von Claude Monet zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 300.750,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 250.000,00 – 350.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Claude Monet erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Meules im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 110.747.000,00 (€ 99.333.572,52).
