Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Vétheuil by Claude Monet was auctioned at Sothebys in London in June last year. The price achieved of GBP 11,738,500.00 (€ 13,636,797.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000,000.00 – 15,000,000.00. Admittedly, works by Claude Monet have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Meules in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 110,747,000.00 (€ 99,333,572.52).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Vétheuil von Claude Monet kam im Juni letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 11.738.500,00 (€ 13.636.797,88) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000.000,00 – 15.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Claude Monet auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Meules im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 110.747.000,00 (€ 99.333.572,52).
