Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Constantin Brancusi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Paris in November 2019. In the Photographies auction, the work Le Coq, La Muse Endormie, 1924 sold for EUR 187,500.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Constantin Brancusi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La jeune fille sophistiquée (Portrait de Nancy Cunard) in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 71,187,500.00 (€ 61,000,428.45).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Constantin Brancusi erzielte im November 2019 bei Christies in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Photographies wurde die Arbeit Le Coq, La Muse Endormie, 1924 für EUR 187.500,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 70.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Constantin Brancusi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La jeune fille sophistiquée (Portrait de Nancy Cunard) im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 71.187.500,00 (€ 61.000.428,45).
