Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2021 Sothebys in Zurich held the auction The Swiss Fine Art Sale, which included the work Bildnis Edith Kottmann, 1925 by Cuno Amiet. The price achieved of CHF 22,680.00 (€ 21,908.50) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CHF 20,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cuno Amiet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Die Wahrheit. 1913. in December last year with an auction result of CHF 890,800.00 (€ 901,041.95).
