Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Warrior by Elisabeth Frink was sold in the 20th Century British Art auction at Sothebys in London in July 2007. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 40,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 42,000.00 (€ 62,379.70). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Elisabeth Frink achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Seated Man in June 2014 with an auction result of GBP 1,082,500.00 (€ 1,352,531.96).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Warrior von Elisabeth Frink wurde im Juli 2007 in der Auktion 20th Century British Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 40.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 42.000,00 (€ 62.379,70) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Elisabeth Frink erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Seated Man im Juni 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.082.500,00 (€ 1.352.531,96).
