Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction Yellow Ball: The Frank and Lorna Dunphy Collection, which included the work Cherry Blossom And Butterflies by Damien Hirst. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 81,250.00 (€ 91,254.19), 16% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Damien Hirst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lullaby Spring in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 9,652,000.00 (€ 14,323,082.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Yellow Ball: The Frank and Lorna Dunphy Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cherry Blossom And Butterflies von Damien Hirst zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 81.250,00 (€ 91.254,19) und damit 16% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Damien Hirst erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lullaby Spring im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.652.000,00 (€ 14.323.082,54).
