Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Happy Christmas (Skull) by Damien Hirst was sold in the Prints & Multiples OnlineDavid Shrigley & Co at Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair auction at Bonhams in London in November last year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 900.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,020.00 (€ 1,181.95). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Damien Hirst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lullaby Spring in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 9,652,000.00 (€ 14,323,082.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Happy Christmas (Skull) von Damien Hirst wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion Prints & Multiples OnlineDavid Shrigley & Co at Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 900,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.020,00 (€ 1.181,95) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Damien Hirst erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lullaby Spring im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.652.000,00 (€ 14.323.082,54).
