Auction result misses estimated price range
In December this year a collector was able to acquire the work Tomorrow is mine, from The Currency by Damien Hirst for GBP 5,120.00 (€ 5,898.04). This price was achieved in the auction Prints and Multiples at Bonhams in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Damien Hirst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lullaby Spring in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 9,652,000.00 (€ 14,323,082.54).
