Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ulysses by Damien Hirst was auctioned at Christies in London in October this year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 756,000.00 (€ 868,098.03) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 600,000.00 – 800,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Damien Hirst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lullaby Spring in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 9,652,000.00 (€ 14,323,082.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Ulysses von Damien Hirst kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 756.000,00 (€ 868.098,03) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 600.000,00 – 800.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Damien Hirst erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lullaby Spring im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.652.000,00 (€ 14.323.082,54).
