Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Loudmouth by Dana Schutz was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Art Evening Sale auction at Sothebys in London in June last year. The price achieved of GBP 680,500 (€ 792,959) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been given by the auction house as GBP 600,000 - 800,000. Admittedly, works by Dana Schutz have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Elevator in December 2020 with an auction result of HKD 50,050,000 (€ 5,279,191).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Loudmouth von Dana Schutz wurde im Juni letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Art Evening Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 680.500 (€ 792.959) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 600.000 – 800.000 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Dana Schutz auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Elevator im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 50.050.000 (€ 5.279.191).
