Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Double Cheeseburger End of the World Giveaway by David Shrigley was sold in the No Regrets: 20th/21st Century Art Online auction at Christies in Hong Kong in December last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 8,820.00 (€ 1,056.95) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Shrigley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (It's OK) in March last year with an auction result of USD 44,100.00 (€ 39,754.80).
