Auction result misses estimated price range
In April this year a collector was able to acquire the work Keep Your Ass Away From The Cactus by David Shrigley for HKD 13,860.00 (€ 14,153.77). This price was achieved in the auction NO REGRETS: 20th/21st Century Art Online Sale at Christies in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David Shrigley - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (It's OK), which sold at auction in March last year for USD 44,100.00 (€ 39,754.80).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Keep Your Ass Away From The Cactus von David Shrigley für HKD 13.860,00 (€ 14.153,77) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion NO REGRETS: 20th/21st Century Art Online Sale bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von David Shrigley mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (It's OK) beobachtet, die im März letzten Jahres für USD 44.100,00 (€ 39.754,80) versteigert wurde.
