Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Boy With A Straw Hat Waiting To March In A Pro-War Parade, N.Y.C., 1967 by Diane Arbus was sold in the Photographs auction at Christies in New York in April 2016. The price achieved of USD 245,000.00 (€ 214,142.12) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Admittedly, works by Diane Arbus have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A box of ten photographs in May this year with an auction result of USD 1,008,000.00 (€ 946,123.52).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 245.000,00 (€ 214.142,12) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Diane Arbus auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A box of ten photographs im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.008.000,00 (€ 946.123,52).
