Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Black Tulip, January 26, 1983, 1983 by Donald Sultan was auctioned at Bonhams in September this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 7,680.00 (€ 7,256.24). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Donald Sultan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Battery May 5, 1986 in February 2019 with an auction result of USD 87,500.00 (€ 76,896.04).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Black Tulip, January 26, 1983, 1983 von Donald Sultan kam im September diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 7.680,00 (€ 7.256,24) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Donald Sultan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Battery May 5, 1986 im Februar 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 87.500,00 (€ 76.896,04).
