Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2016 Christies in New York held the auction Living With Art, which included the work Hop to it! by Dr. Seuss. It changed hands for a price of USD 4,750.00 (€ 4,253.22) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Other works by Dr. Seuss have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2008 the work Horton the elephant was auctioned for GBP 4,375.00 (€ 4,595.02).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2016 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Living With Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Hop to it! von Dr. Seuss zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 4.750,00 (€ 4.253,22) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Dr. Seuss konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Dezember 2008 die Arbeit Horton the elephant für GBP 4.375,00 (€ 4.595,02) versteigert.
