Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Rodin, 'Le Penseur', Paris, 1902 by Edward Steichen was sold in the Photographs auction at Christies in New York in October 2018. Here, the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 16,250.00 (€ 14,339.92). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edward Steichen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Flatiron in November last year with an auction result of USD 11,840,000.00 (€ 11,469,534.05).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Rodin, 'Le Penseur', Paris, 1902 von Edward Steichen wurde im Oktober 2018 in der Auktion Photographs bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 16.250,00 (€ 14.339,92) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edward Steichen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Flatiron im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 11.840.000,00 (€ 11.469.534,05).
