In April 2013 Christies in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Nude, 1936 by Edward Weston. The »bidding war« ended at USD 10,625.00 (€ 8,068.80), 52% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edward Weston achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nude in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 1,609,000.00 (€ 1,033,530.32).

Im April 2013 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Nude, 1936 von Edward Weston zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 10.625,00 (€ 8.068,80) und damit 52% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edward Weston erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nude im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.609.000,00 (€ 1.033.530,32).
