Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Stehender Halbakt (Standing semi-nude) by Egon Schiele was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Evening Auction auction at Sothebys in London in June last year. It achieved a price of GBP 819,000.00 (€ 951,445.03), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Egon Schiele achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Häuser Mit Bunter Wäsche (Vorstadt Ii) Houses With Laundry (Suburb Ii) in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 24,681,250.00 (€ 27,305,215.43).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Stehender Halbakt (Standing semi-nude) von Egon Schiele wurde im Juni letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Evening Auction bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 819.000,00 (€ 951.445,03) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Egon Schiele erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Häuser Mit Bunter Wäsche (Vorstadt Ii) Houses With Laundry (Suburb Ii) im Juni 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 24.681.250,00 (€ 27.305.215,43).
