Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Legwork (from Revenge) by Ellen von Unwerth was auctioned at Christies in New York in June 2019. It changed hands for a price of USD 6,875.00 (€ 6,083.53) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ellen von Unwerth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Parasol in May 2016 with an auction result of GBP 50,000.00 (€ 65,244.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Legwork (from Revenge) von Ellen von Unwerth kam im Juni 2019 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 6.875,00 (€ 6.083,53) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ellen von Unwerth erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Parasol im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 50.000,00 (€ 65.244,72).
