Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of USD 2,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 2,167.50 (€ 1,836.86). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Elliott Erwitt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'California Kiss', 1955 in May 2016 with an auction result of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 24,466.77).
