Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2002 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES, which included the work What a pretty tune by Emil Pap. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 646.25 (€ 1,061.79) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Emil Pap have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Two Ladies Relaxing In An Interior in October 2000 with an auction result of GBP 5,640.00 (€ 9,640.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2002 führte Christies in London die Auktion BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES durch, in der auch die Arbeit What a pretty tune von Emil Pap zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 646,25 (€ 1.061,79) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Emil Pap auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Two Ladies Relaxing In An Interior im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.640,00 (€ 9.640,37).
